The club offers a series of championships througout each calendar year.
1. Club Championship (Seniors) The overall Club Champion is derived from all points accumulated at any Motorsport Australia event, in competition with other competitors.
2. Junior Championship The overall Junior Champion is derived from all points accumulated at any Motorsport Australia event, in competition with other competitors
3. Autocross Championship - Club event points only
4. Sprint Championship - Club event points only
as well as class awards for Autocross and Sprints. Note! Driver challenges and Special events will add points to the Club and Junior Championships.
Club Points are awarded 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1 etc. If there are only 4 or 3 entries, points are 9, 8, 7, 6 and if only 2 or 1 entries, points are 8, 7.
- If you placed 1st in a class with more than 5 entries, you receive 10 points.
- If you placed 10th in class (or lower) with 10 entries or more, you would receive 1 point.
- If you placed 1st in class with 4 entries, you will be awarded 9 points.
- If you placed 1st in a class with two entries, you would receive 8 points.
- Any finishing position by a non-member means those points are not awarded.
This places a slight emphasis on classes with greater entries, hence greater competition.
The Club Captain collates the points and keeps the tally. The Club Captain will score any event that they know about, so if you compete somewhere, please email them with a results sheet or other information on the event and the score will be added.
Members generally score most of their points at our events, however competing at many events, and disciplines, will keep the scoreboard ticking over. Traditionally the Club Champion competes at a variety of CAMS sanctioned events in many locations. (Bonus points)
Autocross, Open Sprints, Rally, Hillclimbs, Gatton/Pittsworth Sprints, Short Circuit Events, Motorkhanas and Khanacross are all events that our members historically compete at.
For Autocross, Open Sprints the points are accumulated in the events at our track. Each event offers a maxium of 50 points per class.
The Autocross and Open Sprint Champs are the highest point scores from any/all classes, so if a person wins in multiple classes, they may be the Sprint, or Autocross, Champ, but not be a class champion :)
When there are equal points a count back system is used:
- Number of wins
- If tied on wins, then no of 2nds, then thirds etc
- If still unable to split the final tiebreak is the driver with the best time for that discipline at any of the events conducted over the year.

Note! To qualify to score points towards the Club Champion and Junior Champion from away events the Driver must:
- Participate in a minimum of 50% of the events run by the IWMAC Club the year to be eligible.
- Driver must send event/result details to the Club Captain.

Points are awarded 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1 etc. If there are only 4 or 3 entries, points are 4, 3, 2, 1 and if only 2 or 1 entries, points are 3, 2.
