The times that were recorded for 2 1/2 runs are here, but following the second rain delay, when it absolutely hammered down, the club had to call the event off, as there would not be enough time for the track to dry, even though I drove home in brilliant sunshine:(
Thanks to the drivers that did hang around to get the 2nd run in before the AGM, and although we got about 2/3rds of the field through run 3, the rain affected 2022 continued. WIth less than 75% of the event run, it was declared a non event, so no trophies, no points. The attached has results ordered by class then no, so not in any time order. Just loaded for those interested in their runs anyway.
Big thanks to the officials who had to get wet twice, the second time the better attempt.

26-Nov Update - There was also a small eror in run 3 that affected the times, resulting in Allen Coles taking out B class from Barry Clark, and therfore Allen was the best 2WD in 4th OR, behind Ant, Troy and Tracy, bumping Kevin and Barry down. Again, Sorry about that. Updated results attached.
Results from the much delayed Round 2 of the Autocross series, after finally getting a fine weekend for it. There was a minor hiccup with the run 3 times, essentially being one car out, which had little overall effect, but it did mean that James Bonnici and Kyla Sholz swapped places, so Kyla neds up 3rd on the day. Apologies to the 2 juniors and families for that:( Of note was that all the juniors improved their times during the day, with Alex and Sam dropping around 5 secs, but massive inprovements for Banjo perry (26 secs), Kyla (33 secs) and James (36 secs). So great effort by them all.
While some of us were at Leyburn, 26 turned up for Round 4 of the Sprints. After the recent timing issues, Kevin and Tony have done some work with Dorien to ensure we can get it working smoother. Although I wasn't there, it sounds like it went OK, and 6 rounds of 4 laps were completed. There were a few non starters, who don't show in the results sheet. Notably a single car took 1st and 2nd Outright, so well done to Ant and Tracy in the EVO VIII (red one I guess:)), and taking out E and L classes respectively. Best 2WD was Barry Clark in the BMW, and thus took out B Class, but only 0.11 ahead of Rick Ganderton in the big block Excel, who was also only 0.12 ahead of Robert Clark in the Cossie (?) Escort MK1, who took out C Class. Paul Scmolke split the 2WD cars to be 2nd in E Class and 4th OR. Alex Niven was best of the juniors followed by family with Sam Niven 2nd and Harrison Gray taking 3rd. A Class saw Jared Predo take the honours from Kevin Parkes and Paul Hibbard. D Class was Peter Mapstone, the evergreen LLoyd Robertson and el presidente Greg Woodbridge, with Beau Watson just off the podium. Sounds like good fun with 24 laps to have a crack.

31 entries turned up for the Drivers Challenge, which used the longer Sprint track (Runs 1 and 2), then the Autocross (Runs 3-5) and finally the crossover from Autocross to the long track halfway along the back straight. Best run on each track counted. Some interest in the Crase family with 4 in the field, and after the Autocross runs there was only 2 seconds between them all. The very nice EVO VIII MR of Colin O'Brien suffered gearbox issues and withdrew, missing runs 7 and 8, but he still neded up 4th in E Class and OR. President Greg Woodbridge had some bad luck with his VR V8 Commodore, which cut oyt, so Beau Watson handed him the keys to Beau's Commodore V6. Greg wasn't quite finished with his misfortunes in Commodores, as he spun Beau's car and attacked the flag point manned by Rad Guerin. Maybe a slight exaggeration there, but he certainly was closer than optimal:). For the Crases, Tim eventually won out with a great 2nd in E (and OR), just ahead of Alan Weinert in the WRX, who finished the last run with a quick time, but snagged a cone, so plus 5 secs. That cone was the difference between 2nd and 3rd. Ant Bonnici did a great job in the Yaris GR to take the win, but the others put it to him in different runs. A class was a Pulsar affair with the Bond/Parkes N14 the only car, Bondy getting the win by not much, and first 2WD car in 5th OR. On one of the runs there was 0.01 between the two. B class is normally hotly contested and there was just 2 seconds covering winner Barry Clark, Ric Ganderton and Allan Coles in 3rd. The Peugot getting a good workout with John Coles also 4th in class. C Class was another two car affair, with Jeff Kilbride getting the win in the GB Galant Astron big block, over the pretty MK2 Cosworth Esky of Robert Clark, just a second and a bit in it. D Class saw the big cars doing a great job (apart maybe from Greg...) with Ken Luxton piloting son Gus's drift VE ute V8 (with a million horses) to a half second win over Peter Mapstone in the well presented AU V8, and evergreen Lloyd Robertyson in 3rd in the BMW130i. Ladies saw Steph Muston just behind Nicki Duclos in 3rd (having her first run here for a while) but the main interest was between Emma Crase and Tracy Bavinton, with Tracy winning out in the Red EVO. The decider basically being Emma having some average runs on the crossover track, although she did pull off a neat 360 at the end of the sweeper for the last run. Great style points, not so good for the time:). Overall a fun day with the cross over being very tight and an interesting difference to the track. Thanks to everyone who prepped after the rain (again) as the grader, roller and water truck are not part of any Automated Drive Technologies, so do not drive themselves....
Good field of 38 on a hot day with the Superbikes on at QR. Couple of notable points Beau knocked nearly 10 seconds of his times in the "new" Commodore over the day, and had some nice words for everyones help after his old car was trashed by scumbags. Timer Ben, pipped Jared Predo for 3rd in A Class by just 0.4 sec, and if we took all the runs it was reversed, so very tight. Fastest Lap was actually Alan Weinert with a 46.0 in Run 5 (and not Ant as announced), so apologies to Alan, and thanks to Ant who noticed later and contacted the club. Lee Williams in A Class dropped from a 2:08 to a 1:58 by the end of th day, so some good improvement. Sounds like it was agreat day, finished early to avoid the superbikes, and evryone got out easily.
Final Sprint Rd for the year with a big 10 car B Class field, 8 AWDs, and 6 in D, 5 in J, L and C with only the 2 A class cars. Total of 41 runners.
